Vendemmia 2026 in anticipo a Cà Vendalis: Incrocio Manzoni, Glera, Merlot e Cabernet Sauvignon

Nei vigneti di Cà Vendalis, sui Colli Euganei, la vendemmia 2026 è iniziata in anticipo rispetto alle tempistiche tradizionali.

Ogni annata segue il proprio ritmo e quest'anno la maturazione delle uve ci ha portato ad anticipare l'inizio della raccolta. I primi grappoli vendemmiati sono quelli dell'Incrocio Manzoni, da cui nascerà il nostro Manzoni Bianco IGT.

A seguire è iniziata anche la raccolta del Glera, l'uva da cui nascerà Alito di Vento, il nostro Prosecco DOC Extra Dry.

Nei prossimi giorni sarà poi il momento delle uve rosse: attorno al 6 settembre inizieremo la vendemmia di Merlot e Cabernet Sauvignon, un anticipo importante che racconta bene l'andamento della stagione 2026 nei nostri vigneti.

Una vendemmia a mano, dalla vigna alla raccolta

A Cà Vendalis crediamo che il vino nasca prima di tutto in vigneto.

Per questo seguiamo direttamente ogni fase del lavoro, dalla potatura invernale alla gestione della vigna, fino alla raccolta dell'uva. La vendemmia viene svolta con grande attenzione e la raccolta manuale ci permette di osservare e selezionare i grappoli direttamente tra i filari.

Raccogliere a mano significa poter scegliere. Possiamo selezionare l'uva che ha raggiunto il giusto grado di maturazione e lasciare quella che non presenta ancora le caratteristiche qualitative che cerchiamo.

È un lavoro più lento e impegnativo, ma per noi è parte fondamentale della qualità finale del vino.

Quando si decide di iniziare la vendemmia?

La scelta del momento giusto per la vendemmia non dipende semplicemente dal calendario.

Ogni giorno osserviamo l'evoluzione dell'uva, controllando la maturazione dei grappoli e valutando diversi elementi. Gli zuccheri e l'acidità sono importanti, ma non sono gli unici fattori da considerare.

L'obiettivo è trovare il miglior equilibrio possibile tra maturazione tecnologica, aromatica e, per le uve rosse, fenolica.

Un'uva può avere raggiunto un buon livello zuccherino ma non essere ancora pronta dal punto di vista aromatico. Allo stesso modo, nelle uve rosse, bisogna valutare attentamente la maturazione delle bucce, dei tannini e dei vinaccioli.

Per questo la decisione nasce dall'unione tra analisi, esperienza e presenza quotidiana in vigneto.

Incrocio Manzoni e Glera: i primi protagonisti della vendemmia 2026

La vendemmia 2026 a Cà Vendalis è iniziata con l'Incrocio Manzoni, una delle varietà che utilizziamo per la produzione del nostro Manzoni Bianco IGT.

Successivamente è iniziata la raccolta del Glera, destinato alla produzione di Alito di Vento, Prosecco DOC Extra Dry.

Per queste varietà a bacca bianca il momento della raccolta è particolarmente importante. Cerchiamo di preservare freschezza, acidità e integrità aromatica, caratteristiche che accompagneranno poi il vino durante le successive fasi di lavorazione in cantina.

Ogni scelta parte dall'uva e dalle condizioni reali dell'annata.

Dal 6 settembre iniziano anche Merlot e Cabernet Sauvignon

Se la maturazione continuerà secondo le nostre aspettative, attorno al 6 settembre 2026 inizierà a Cà Vendalis anche la raccolta delle uve Merlot e Cabernet Sauvignon.

Si tratta di un anticipo significativo rispetto alle tempistiche che normalmente associamo alla vendemmia delle varietà rosse.

Per Merlot e Cabernet Sauvignon la valutazione della maturazione richiede un'attenzione particolare. Non osserviamo solamente il grado zuccherino, ma anche la qualità della buccia e la maturazione dei tannini.

Sono proprio le bucce a contribuire in modo importante alla struttura, al colore e a una parte significativa del patrimonio aromatico del futuro vino rosso.

La raccolta nel momento corretto permette di lavorare in cantina con un'uva che ha raggiunto il miglior equilibrio possibile.

Il lavoro del vignaiolo continua ogni giorno

Una vigna non si gestisce soltanto nei giorni della vendemmia.

Il risultato finale è il frutto di un lavoro iniziato molti mesi prima: dalla potatura alla gestione della vegetazione, dall'equilibrio della pianta alla cura del vigneto durante tutta la stagione.

Ogni intervento può influenzare la qualità dell'uva.

Il compito del vignaiolo è cercare un equilibrio tra vigore vegetativo e produzione, permettendo alla pianta di portare a maturazione i propri grappoli nelle migliori condizioni possibili.

Poi arriva il momento in cui il lavoro passa dalla vigna alla cantina.

Dal vigneto alla cantina: il lavoro dell'enologo

Una volta raccolta, l'uva arriva in cantina e inizia una nuova fase.

Per le uve bianche e per il Glera l'attenzione è rivolta soprattutto alla conservazione della freschezza e del patrimonio aromatico.

Per le uve rosse, come Merlot e Cabernet Sauvignon, inizierà invece il lavoro legato alla fermentazione e alla macerazione delle bucce.

Il controllo delle temperature e dei tempi di contatto tra mosto e bucce sarà fondamentale per ottenere il giusto equilibrio nell'estrazione di colore, aromi e tannini.

Ogni annata, però, è diversa.

Non esiste una ricetta identica da applicare automaticamente ogni anno. Il lavoro dell'enologo consiste anche nel comprendere le caratteristiche dell'uva raccolta e accompagnarla durante la trasformazione, cercando di valorizzare ciò che il vigneto ha espresso.

Il vino nasce in vigna

A Cà Vendalis partiamo da una convinzione semplice: una buona enologia può valorizzare una grande uva, ma non può inventarla.

Per questo dedichiamo tempo e attenzione al lavoro in vigneto e alla selezione durante la vendemmia.

Il vino che arriverà nel bicchiere nei prossimi mesi e anni sta iniziando il suo percorso proprio ora, tra i filari dei nostri vigneti sui Colli Euganei.

La vendemmia 2026 di Cà Vendalis è appena iniziata.

Prima l'Incrocio Manzoni, poi il Glera e, attorno al 6 settembre, Merlot e Cabernet Sauvignon.

Grappolo dopo grappolo, selezionando l'uva direttamente in vigna e seguendo ogni fase del lavoro, inizia a prendere forma una nuova annata.
