About us

Logo Cà Vendalis Cà Vendalis: Our Home in the Euganean Hills
Cà Vendali is a winery with agriturismo and rooms at the foot of Mount Venda, in the heart of the Euganean Hills, in Veneto.
Here we produce wine and extra virgin olive oil and welcome those who wish to enjoy an authentic experience, filled with nature, silence, taste, and slow time.

Our history: from its roots to the present
Cà Vendalis is the brand of the Agricola Agri Earth S.a.s. company, founded in 2018 with the cultivation of cereals on just over 40 hectares in the heart of the Polesine area.
From the beginning, our vision has been clear: to combine agricultural tradition and a contemporary vision, respecting the land and enhancing the territories in which we operate through conscious, artisanal, and quality-oriented production.

A new chapter in Faedo di Cinto Euganeo
In 2024 we chose to reshape the project by purchasing a farm in Faedo di Cinto Euganeo, in one of the most picturesque corners of the Euganean Hills.
Here, among vineyards, olive groves, and a chestnut forest of almost one hectare, Cà Vendalis was born as a physical, agricultural, and welcoming place.
A return to the land that is also a new beginning.
Our headquarters is located in an ancient residence from the early 20th century, once inhabited by the bell ringer of the Church of San Pietro di Faedo. Today this house is the beating heart of the winery and the agriturismo.

The meaning of Cà Vendalis
The name tells our story.

  • Cà: from the Venetian dialect, meaning "home." It symbolizes hospitality, roots, and the feeling of being part of a place where nature and history coexist in harmony.
  • Vendalis: a tribute to Monte Venda, the highest peak of the Euganean Hills. It evokes the majesty of the landscape and its authenticity.

Among vineyards, olive trees, and hospitality
In our vineyards, we passionately cultivate varieties such as:

  • Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Merlot
  • Moscato Giallo
  • Glera
  • Incrocio Manzoni

Production is intentionally limited, with manual harvesting and maximum attention to every stage.
From our centuries-old olive trees, primarily Leccino and Rasara, comes an intense and balanced extra virgin olive oil, obtained through artisanal processes that respect the raw material.

Cà  Vendalis is also an experience
Agritourism and wine tourism Oil tourism in the Euganean Hills
We welcome our guests to our agriturismo for Agri-Aperitifs in the Euganean Hills, accompanied by tastings of local products and our own wines. Moments of conviviality to be savored slowly, immersed in the beauty and tranquility of the Euganean Hills.
Our wines can be enjoyed alongside selected local products and homemade focaccias made by Valentina, in a simple, authentic, and refined atmosphere, perfect for those seeking a quality aperitif at a farmhouse.
Cà Vendalis is the ideal place to enjoy a food and wine experience among the vineyards and olive groves of the Euganean Hills, where every glass tells the story of the land and the passion we put into our production. Among the vineyards and olive groves, time slows down and wine transforms into an experience, encounter, and story of the Euganean Hills.

Interview title

Federico Sambinello: from fashion entrepreneur to winemaker on the Euganean Hills

The word "winemaker" has a simple meaning: vineyard cultivator. But behind this definition lies a world of choices, passion and sacrifice. In recent years, more and more people have rediscovered this figure, intertwining it with concepts of craftsmanship and authenticity. Among those who have undertaken this path with determination is Federico Sambinello, founder of Cà Vendalis, who after 27 years in the luxury fashion sector has decided to change his life and dedicate himself completely to the production of wine on the Euganean Hills.

"I think that today it is necessary to be a bit of a winemaker and a bit of an entrepreneur. You can't neglect the agricultural aspect, because it is the heart of our work, but at the same time you need to have an entrepreneurial vision to be able to make known and valorize what we produce. It is a challenge that requires a balance between tradition and innovation."

"Without a doubt, the bureaucracy was the biggest obstacle. For the rest, everything is complex and tiring, but when something is a passion, every difficulty becomes a challenge that makes you feel alive. And this new path has given me back incredible energy."

"For me it was almost like the birth of a child. After all the work, the difficulties and the waiting, holding her in my hands was a moment of pure emotion. It was the concrete proof that my dream was becoming a reality."

"It's a path I chose alone, but always shared with my wife Valentina. I don't come from a family of winemakers, but I felt the need to build something of my own, a project that had a deep and authentic meaning."

"Absolutely yes, I fully recognize myself in this definition. The role of the winemaker, for me, is that of the craftsman, a custodian of tradition and of the territory. Each step is taken care of with attention, the harvest is done by hand, and the production is deliberately limited. We started with 8,000 bottles and at full capacity I do not want to exceed 12,000. This allows me to maintain high quality and create wines that tell the story of my territory and my philosophy."

"Absolutely yes. I don't want to deny tradition, but I believe that only with the most technological methods can we produce excellent wines. My wines reflect me: they are structured, with character, but at the same time fresh, perfect to drink on any occasion."

"It's a way to bring people closer to the world of wine in a concrete and personal way. We offer the possibility of adopting a row of Merlot Raggio Fiorito or Glera Alito di Vento (Prosecco DOC). Those who adopt a row can follow its vegetative cycle, come to the vineyard to see first-hand the work between the rows and, at the end, receive the bottles produced with the grapes from their own vineyard. It's an exciting experience, which allows you to feel part of the production process."

"Exactly! I want people to not just drink a bottle, but to understand all the work, passion and time that goes into it. Wine is history, territory, care. With "Adotta un Filare" I want to give people the chance to experience all this first hand."

"Because I want to give people a complete experience, where wine is the protagonist but in the company of high-quality products from our territory. It's not just about selling a bottle, but about creating a bond between those who taste my wine and the land where it is born."

"Yes, of course! I have always been used to carrying out multiple projects at the same time. After many years as an entrepreneur, I know that diversification is essential. And then I am an enthusiast: I like to build, develop, create new opportunities."

"My main project is to ensure that Cà Vendalis is recognized for the quality of its products. After wine and oil, I want to expand production with new gastronomic excellences, such as an artisanal vegetable giardiniera. Then, who knows... the beauty of this journey is that ideas are born along the way."

"I would like it to become a point of reference for those looking for authentic and high-quality products, but also a place where people can have a unique experience among vineyards, olive groves and local flavours. A place to stop, taste and feel at home."
